Make Money Taking Photos

Those of you that have a digital camera will be delighted to know that people will pay you money for your photographs. There is endless demand for pictures from website owners to brighten up their websites. In the webmaster world, you cannot simply copy a picture from wherever you like as they are copyrighted. The only way to legally get pictures for a website is to either take them yourself or buy the rights to that picture. What you will be doing is taking pictures for these webmasters and selling them the rights to use your pictures on their websites.

The process is ridiculously easy as you simply sign up to one of the many photo repositories that webmasters visit to purchase their pictures from and upload your pictures to them. After setting your price per picture all you have to do is sit back and watch the money roll in. Well almost, you will need to understand what kind of pictures are in demand and that will take a bit of research. You will also need to brush up on your photographing skills as the pictures need to look quite professional if you really want to make big money. Don't worry, that is not as hard as it seems as there are many easy tricks to drastically improve your skills. Failing that, you can't go wrong with photo shopping your pictures to make them look perfect.

Your first step is to sign up with image providers such as fotolia.com and istockphoto.com. The next step is to actually take the pictures! If you are short on ideas search through the sites to see which pictures are popular and try to recreate something similar. After taking your pictures edit them if necessary improving their quality or resize them as required and upload them to the image sites. Each site will have slightly different procedures so this process will be slightly different for each site.

For those of you that do not already own a digital camera there are many high quality cameras available from around £60 that will be more then adequate for getting you started. However, we only recommend purchasing a camera if you are really serious about using this method to make money. Please note that mobile phone pictures will not be accepted as the quality is too poor.
